K I C

In 2018, LAUNCH began exploring the functionality of a kitchen incubator in Chattanooga. After researching, finding the perfect space, and understanding the industry's needs, we decided to pursue the Kitchen Incubator of Chattanooga (KIC). The LAUNCH team was working to open doors in 2021; however, in light of the abundance of food insecurity caused by COVID-19, we are putting this kitchen space to use now. In partnership with the Foodprint Foundation, Urban Story Ventures, and various members of our community, we are KICking off with The LAUNCH Provisions Project.

 The LAUNCH   Provisions Project

The LAUNCH Provisions Project is providing small foodservice businesses with much-needed income and providing meals to seniors in the Chattanooga area.

Every week we will partner with our community to serve 2,000 meals prepared by local entrepreneurs including Pat Rowe of BBQ Rowe and Catering, Brandon Ellis of Chatterbox Cafe, Christine Nguyen of Mama Crunk's Pies, Terrence Locke of Chef Express, Angie Adams of Calamansi Cafe, and Mark Holland of Belaire Catering. We are also partnering with LAUNCH CHA alumni Jamaal Macon of Exclusive Cleaning Professionals and April Ashley of Freedom From Laundry to keep our space sparkling clean.

COVID-19

We are taking great care to follow COVID-19 best practices and procedures at every turn. The health and safety of every person involved in The LAUNCH Provisions Project is our number one consideration. For this reason, all of our cooks are ServSafe certified; we are limiting the number of people in the kitchen at one time; and each delivery volunteer is given masks, gloves, & confirmed to be healthy with normal body temperature.
